Overview
The Process Engineer Press plays a crucial role in optimizing and maintaining the efficiency of pressing operations within the manufacturing facility. This position is imperative for ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining highquality standards and compliance with safety regulations. The Process Engineer collaborates with crossfunctional teams to implement best practices troubleshoot issues and continuously enhance manufacturing processes. By analyzing production data and processes the Process Engineer identifies areas for improvement leading to increased productivity reduced waste and improved overall performance. This role not only focuses on technical competencies but also requires effective communication and leadership skills to guide teams towards achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze pressing operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process optimization strategies.
- Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues.
- Collaborate with production teams to enhance efficiency.
- Monitor process performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Design and conduct experiments to improve manufacturing processes.
- Prepare detailed documentation of processes and procedures.
- Work in conjunction with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with standards.
- Implement safety and environmental practices in pressing operations.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on process improvements.
- Facilitate continuous improvement workshops.
- Propose modifications to equipment for better performance.
- Assist in the development of new products from a process perspective.
- Act as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Manage multiple projects to completion within deadlines.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Industrial or related field).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of pressing processes and equipment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
- Handson experience with process control tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Proficient in CAD and engineering design software.
- Strong problemsolving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and quality in all work aspects.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and technologies.
- Certification in Six Sigma or similar methodologies is a plus.
