Job Description
Dog Day Care Attendant Duties and Responsibilities:
- Give dogs water throughout the day
- Take dogs for walks
- Handle bathing and grooming tasks as needed
- Clean and maintain daycare keeping it free of waste and other unsanitary or hazardous materials
- Supervise play areas to ensure pet safety
- Keep records of pets health and walking schedules for each dog
- Perform light receptionist duties such as answering phones and emails
Qualifications :
Required skills:
- Experience with large dogs
- Experience working in a Resort and/or Day Camp
- Will be outside for a majority of their shifts
We are looking for someone with:
- Prior experience at a dog daycare facility shelter or in personal animal care
- Familiarity with various dog breeds
- Passion for taking care of animals
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina for this very high physically demanding job
- Ability to be outside even when the weather is good or bad required
- Ability to life 40 pounds required
- Ability to restrain a large dog on a leash and handle dogs in a group play environment required
