Job Description

We are looking for a peopleoriented HR Business Partner for our Asia Pacific/Middle East & Africa HR Team. This role is based in Malaysia where the majority of the APAC area team is located. If you are an HR allrounder who enjoys a varied role with both operational and strategic exposure and if you have at least 5 years of thorough experience within the Asia Pacific region then this could be the ideal next step for you!

Reporting to the Head of HR MEA/APAC you will ensure professional HR Management for the Area Team in Malaysia whilst collaborating closely with your counterpart in Dubai. As a proactive member of the MEA/APAC HR Team you will help support our country HR teams in their daily business manage projects and drive meaningful initiatives based on country requirements and the Group strategy.

Job Description

  • Manage operational HR activities for the area team at the Malaysia location including recruitment onboarding and offboarding compensation and benefits structuring training and development employee relations and engagement
  • Ensure that all activities processes documents policies and procedures comply with internal company guidelines as well as local laws
  • Collaborate closely with your colleagues at the Dubai location to ensure alignment across the entire HR area team
  • Foster a positive work environment and a culture of feedback and trust within the APAC area team in line with the companys guiding principles
  • Work closely with local country HR on matters related to visa payroll taxes insurance and other related topics
  • Provide HR support and input for HR country teams within APAC and MEA
  • Lead and/or support HR projects and initiatives within the area ensuring successful and sustainable implementation
  • Facilitate training and workshops to support team building culture and organizational development based on the areas needs and requirements
  • Lead implement and manage annual performance review exercises such as the Employee Dialogue
  • Lead and/or coordinate employee engagement projects including the annual Employee Engagement Survey review and communicate the results as well as measures
  • Actively participate in the Area HR network to foster collaboration share best practices and create learning opportunities
  • Support the Head of HR Area in talent management the preselection of senior management positions and personnel development
  • Confidently use HR systems as a key user such as SmartRecruiters SAP Peakon Workday and others
  • Contribute ideas and strategies to further improve and develop the HR function within the area
  • Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to support group strategy and meet the requirements of the countries/areas

Qualifications :

  • Qualification in business HR or related disciplines
  • Confident level in all MS Office applications and ideally in SAP with an interest in automation processes and AI
  • High level of English
  • Thorough knowledge in APAC labour laws regulations and compensation and benefits structures
  • At least 5 years experience in HR in the APAC region ideally with an established network
  • Understanding of and willingness to work in a matrix environment focused on collaboration mutual support and networking
  • Proactive individual who can work unsupervised but enjoys being part of a team
  • Deep understanding of cultural differences within the area
  • Strong sense for confidentiality diplomacy and conflict resolution
  • Reliable and detailoriented individual with a confident and friendly attitude
  • Ability to prioritise and make decisions
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain trustful relationships with stakeholders on all levels and in various locations
  • Quick learner ability to think outside the box and find solutions proactively
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly
  • Prepared to travel occasionally within the area
