This position assists the mission of the department by performing Unemployment Insurance (UI) Tax services requiring knowledge of the Washington State RCW WACs business community reporting agents legal representatives out of state businesses and other state/federal agencies. They will perform program administration and/or provide direct services for a variety of UI Tax subprograms which include precollection of overdue tax reports and account maintenance. This work is accomplished by communicating with customers by telephone or by written correspondence. They will support the agencys mission by ensuring we contribute to healthy communities by assisting Washington employer in timely filing of their reports and paying their portion of UI tax. This enables UI benefit claims to be paid timely and correctly. This position contributes to protecting the integrity of the UI trust fund.
Some of your daily tasks include but not limited to:
An Associates Degree
OR
Minimum of at least two 2 years of customer service experience demonstrating proficiency in the principles of effective customer service and interpersonal communication. Strong knowledge of office practices and procedures business English professional letter composition accurate spelling and basic arithmetic.
