Our Department of Chemistry Physics and Atmospheric Sciences is at the forefront of cuttingedge nanoscale materials and device research. We are excited to announce an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the vibrant research team of Dr. Nihar Pradhan here at Jackson State University.

Engage in the synthesis of diamond film and 2D semiconductor materials using CVD techniques.
Collaborate with experts in the field to fabricate heterostructure nanoscale devices integrating diamond film with 2D materials.
Perform temperaturedependent electrical transport and optical measurements contributing to groundbreaking research.
Characterize interfaces using cuttingedge electron and xray microscopy techniques.
Work closely with graduate students fostering a collaborative research environment.
Travel between Argonne National Lab (user facility) and Jackson State University is needed to advance research objectives.
Contribute to the publication of scientific manuscripts and share your findings through presentations at national and international conferences.
Ph.D. in Physics Nanoscience Engineering Material Science or related physical sciences field.
Strong expertise in materials synthesis using Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) or a similar 2D materials synthesis route.
Proficiency in device fabrication utilizing lithography techniques.
Experience working in a clean room environment.
Ability to conduct electrical transport measurements of nanoscale devices.
A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
