Key Responsibilities:
- Automate infrastructure and application management leverage Ansible to streamline configuration management deployment and orchestration processes.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams to enhance the scalability security and performance of the infrastructure
- Primary focus will be on Ansible with a solid understanding of Terraform to assist in provisioning and managing cloud resources. Expertise in both automation tools will help drive infrastructureascode practices enabling seamless reliable and scalable operations across our systems.
- Develop and manage Ansible playbooks modules and configurations for both Unix and Windows environments.
- Utilize Ansibles agentless configuration management approach to automate infrastructure provisioning and software deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development testing and production environments.
- Administer and maintain Ansible infrastructure providing SMElevel support and ensuring best practices are followed.
- Collaborate with the GITM engineering team to design and implement Ansiblebased solutions for a distributed data center environment.
- Automate business processes and software deployments using various frameworks and scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash JavaScript).
- Implement and perform security testing code reviews and provide engineering solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Use Ansible to handle postTerraform provisioning tasks such as configuring operating systems installing software packages and setting up application services after infrastructure resources are created.
- Automate the configuration management of Terraformprovisioned infrastructure by integrating Ansible playbooks to enforce desired state configurations across cloud and onprem environments.
- Leverage Ansible for continuous configuration and compliance management ensuring that Terraformprovisioned infrastructure stays aligned with security and operational policies over time.
Work Environment:
- Location: Annapolis Junction MD Onsite
- Travel Requirements: Minimal 020 Travel
- Working Hours: Standard 40 hour per week
Qualifications :
Required:
- Clearance: Top Secret with SCI
- Experience in software engineering and integration of Commercial OfftheShelf software products.
- Must have a current DoD 8570.1M IAT Level III certification
Desired:
- 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
Basic Compensation:
$110000 to $130000
This range is for the Maryland area only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge skills abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign on bonus relocation benefits short term incentives long term incentives or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
