PrimaryResponsibilities: LeadsandmentorsasmallgroupofLabTechniciansinaFunctionalTestAreateamincoordinatingand trackingtest&equipmentschedulingwithinthisarea Conductstestsmaintainsrecordsofworkperformedanalyzesdatacollectedsummarizesandreports results Worksautonomouslywithinestablishedlaboratoryproceduresandpractices Performsmechanicaltestingonavarietyofproducttypesorcomponentsinvolvingprogrammingand runningtestlabequipmentwhilefollowingwrittenproceduresmethodsand/orinstructions Developsandcoordinatesinbuildinglabtestfixtures Assistsinpreventativemaintenancetroubleshootingandrepairsoflabtestequipment AssistsintrainingofnewlabemployeesandLabTechnicianswithnewtestproceduressetupsetc. HelpsdraftinternallaboratoryStandardizedWorkInstructionsaswellasDataandReportTemplatesto assistLabManagement&TestEngineering Assistsinensuringtheavailabilityofadequatesuppliesandequipment Frequentinterfacewithotherpersonneloutsideofthelabdepartment(EngineeringQualityetc. ProvidessupportinQualityAuditsCustomerComplaintsandFailureAnalysis MustoperateinamannerthatreinforcessupportsandisconsistentwiththeCooperStandard LeadershipModel Expertiseinensuringgoodplant6Sstandardsarefollowed. Ensureshousekeepingandhealthandsafetystandardsaremaintained Mayonoccasionberequiredtoperformdutiesotherthanthosespecifiedinthisdescription EducationandQualifications: Highschooldiplomaorequivalentrequired TwoYearCollegeDegreeorapplicableTechnicalTrainingandCertificationispreferred Eightplusyearsofrelevantworkexperience Strongmechanicalaptitudeaswellastechnicalandanalyticalproblemsolvingskills Skillsorworkingknowledgeofplumbingelectricalpneumatichydraulicandmechanicalsystems Goodinterpersonalskillstoworkeffectivelywithothersinateamenvironment ProficientinMicrosoftOfficeapplications Goodverbalandwrittencommunicationskills KnowledgeofmoststandardcontrolsystemsutilizedinLaboratoryandMaterialTestingEquipment Abilitytoliftuptothirtypoundsonaregularbasis UnderstandingofMaterialFailuremodesGageR&RandCapabilityStudiesaplus Previousexperienceleadingotherspreferred Willingnessandabilitytotravelasnecessary WorkEnvironment/WorkConditions: ProfessionalOfficeEnvironment Mustwearproperpersonalprotectionequipmentwhileonmanufacturingfloor Traveltomanufacturingfacilitiesorcustomerlocationswhenrequired Equipmentusedrequirespropertrainingonthepotentialforandavoidanceofinjury
