Job Description
Position Information: Summer Internship
Hourly Wage $15 per hour
Position Details:
Essential Qualifications
- Must be an enrolled citizen of the MatchEBeNashSheWish Band of Pottawatomi.
- You must be 1524 years of age for most positions within the Tribal Government (some positions may require applicants to be 18 or older) and 1824 years of age for the Gun Lake Casino Resort.
- You must be able to work up to 30 hours per week.
- Gun Lake Casino Resort Interns must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming Support Employee License from the Gun Lake Gaming Commission.
- Availability for the full 9week internship program from June 9 through August 8 2025. Attendance at all mandatory events is required unless an exception is granted by HR.
- Settlement Yard Clean Up Day June 17 from 8:45a (Bus leaves admin building) and returns at 4p.
(if this event is canceled due to weather the makeup day is July 1 and is mandatory).
- Jijak Youth Camp Counselor Training June 18 & 19 from 8:30a4p.
- Jijak Youth Camp June 2327
- Financial Capabilities July 10 9a1p
- Pottawatomi Gathering July 28August 3 (NOT SURE IF THIS WILL BE MANDATORY)
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will vary between departments. Interns will receive an official JD when placed.
Key Projects and Events
There will be various opportunities to get involved including training sessions youth mentoring volunteering Pow Wows and much more.
