Operations Manager
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for participating in the planning managing and control of the functions and operations of the center including assigned personnel case volume and meeting budgetary goals.
- Ensures policies and procedures protocols and centers position descriptions are in compliance with Federal and State legislation accreditation standards and good performance management practices.
- Responsible for worker and environmental safety. Oversees environmental services vendor relationship.
- Responsible for lifesafety compliance and routine audits (e.g. generator testing sprinkler evaluation etc. and maintaining records of all equipment.
- Coordinates activities with providers center staff patients visitors and others on a regular basis to assure that work flows efficiently and effectively that patients and providers are satisfied with services and that quality patient care is delivered.
- Monitors inventory and orders supplies and equipment through electronic stem and approval cascade. Ensures equipment and supplies are procured in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Establishes implements and evaluates quality and standards of patient care in conjunction with direct leadership.
- Manages monitors and evaluates the radiological activities and operations of the center.
- Assures compliance with all State Federal accreditation and corporate policies and regulations. Interfaces with staff providers patients and leadership team.
- Oversees the implementation of patient care policies and procedures. Evaluate quality and standards of patient care in conjunction with the Governing Board. Ensures a competent and responsible staff treats patients.
- Maintains active professional relationships with providers payors and patients by assessing needs and levels of satisfaction with center service.
- Demonstrates a positive friendly and courteous manner towards employees providers patients and leadership at all times.
- Identifies measures and documents or reviews problems inefficiencies or deficiencies.
- Assures qualified staff and services available to provide required coverage for patient care and to satisfy all licensing agency guidelines that are within budgetary requirements.
- Demonstrates ability to supervise orient hire develop train coach evaluate discipline and terminate facility staff.
- Completes or delegates to appropriate supervisor individual staff performance appraisals as required by policy.
- Ensure facility is maintained in safe condition as indicated by cleared hallways secured electrical wiring and reporting and isolation of broken equipment promptly.
- Assures adherence to all Federal State SAC and facility safety regulations and guidelines regarding patient safety.
- Adheres to Federal State and accreditation regulations.
- Adheres to and refines policy and procedures and facility bylaws.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in ambulatory surgery operations
- BCLS certification required
- Exceptional verbal written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with medical providers and staff alike
- Strong mentoring motivating and teambuilding skills along with the ability to gain trust and confidence from others.
- Able to develop and define resources needed to accomplish tactical goals. Strong working knowledge of regulatory agency requirements including OSHA Nevada Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) etc.
- Proven experience with developing positive relationships with medical providers senior staff colleagues and customers.
- Track record of resolving complex problems with creative solutions.
