As a Service Engineer you will work mostly in our Seaham workshop and occasionally atcustomer sites throughout the UK / overseas to provide preventive and predictive maintenance of flow control (valve) equipment. You will be tasked with performing the following: repair service and assembly of all types of valve products and ancillaries in line with standard operating procedures. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of relevant documentation of all the work carried out using computerised systems.
In this role you will be servicing Valmets valve equipment (Including Neles / Jamesbury valves) which is equipment that controls the flow of product at the customers location.
We are seeking candidates with a craft apprentice training in Mechanical Engineering fitting qualified to Level 3 (BTEC / ONC) or higher with 6 years experience in a serviceoriented handson fitting / maintenance environment. Experience of working with valves would be a strong advantage and having some machining experience would be desirable.
We require candidates to have a valid drivers licence and to be responsive to afterhours issues when necessary adopting a flexible approach to work.
A strong troubleshooting background mechanical & computer aptitude andlogical way of thinking to isolate problems.
Develops strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
Strong interpersonal and Englishspeaking communication skills.
Be flexible and available to interact with customers as required.
Be based no more than one hour from our Seaham workshop.
Be able to take the initiative capable of working alone as well as contributing to a strong teamwork ethic.
