As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent you will work at a variety of labs so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments software and consumables is key. Applying your interpersonal skills creativity and cando attitude is critical. The ability to help with solving customer problems and a dedication to deliver the highest levels of customer service is how you will build customer success.
You will be responsible for supporting our customers with onsite installation implementation maintenance and repair of company and multivendor systems solutions. Our varied product lines include hardware software and networking products as well as operating systems.
Location: The ideal candidate will reside in northern Illinois or southern Wisconsin and will cover a multistate territory that includes both Illinois and Wisconsin.
- Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
- Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
- Performs maintenance and repairs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations which may impact product performance.
- Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers business.
- Deliver fully integrated solutions which may include peripherals communications operating systems and applications software.
- May train other field engineers and customers in the solutions.

Qualifications
- A bachelors or masters degree within the science field e.g. chemistry analytical chemistry biochemistry biotechnology or similar or relevant work experience.
- 12 years of experience in a similar position or experience as an enduser
- Experience with troubleshooting and problemsolving
- LC background is required.
- Experience with Agilent solutions is desired but not essential
- Verbal and written communication is clear respectful and timely
- Candidate must be willing and able to travel overnight
- up to Travel 50
- A valid drivers license is required for this position as it includes the use of a company vehicle.
Additional Details

The fulltime equivalent pay range for this position is $33.23 $51.92/hr plus eligibility for bonus stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including jobrelated skills experience and relevant education or training.
