Your role and responsibilities

Veterinary Specialists Scotland are hiring for a Night Patient Care Assistant. You will join an already established night team working a shift pattern of 4 on 8 off which facilitates a consistency of care as well as an attractive work life balance.

The role of a Patient Care Assistant is to support the nursing and wider practice team in achieving the highest standards of care. The Patient Care Assistant role will involve working in a variety of areas within the practice to support the team. It will be necessary to accept instruction from a variety of people including Management Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses. Working enthusiastically within the team you will help maintain a happy efficient and effective working environment.

The ideal candidate must have a good background in animal handling with previous veterinary care experience. A demonstrable ability to deliver top class animal care with an empathetic approach are also essential.

Our rapidly expanding stateoftheart Veterinary Hospital located in Livingston between Edinburgh and Glasgow is looking for Night Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team.

Veterinary Specialists Scotland (VSS) is a multidisciplinary referral hospital that opened in October 2020. The clinic premises have been purpose built to deliver the highest standards of veterinary care while also providing a beautiful and pleasant working environment.
