We currently have an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join bphas In House Maintenance Service who make a difference to our customers lives everyday by delivering a highquality repairs service designed around them.

We operate across Bedfordshire Oxfordshire Buckinghamshire Cambridgeshire Northamptonshire and surrounding areas and we utilise the latest technology to ensure that we not only deliver a great experience for our customers but for our colleagues as well.

We are looking for a Repairs and Voids Inspector to join our newly formed Small Works Team and to be responsible for the inspection specification and ordering of repairs identified requiring technical knowledge to ensure a longlasting repair solution is provided

The inspections you complete should consider the impact of the repairs required on our customers experience of living within their home and you are expected to proactively communicate with customers ensuring they are aware of the next steps following your inspection and what to expect.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for contributing to the IHMSs strong culture of health safety environment and quality that can be evidenced stands up to scrutiny and audit

  • Carrying out a range of different inspections ensuring that the repairs service delivered achieves good quality value for money repairs.

  • Take responsibility for positively contributing to a highly motivated empowered and engaged team that work together to contribute towards delivering bphas vision and mission

  • To ensure a customercentric service is always delivered. Be responsible for contributing to a team who have a customer centric right firsttime culture.

  • Responsible for maintaining professional supplier relationships in conjunction with the IHMS management teams and SHEQ team

  • Responsible for ensuring you and your teams adherence and compliance to bpha standing orders financial regulations policies and procedures

Wed love to meet someone with:

  • In depth knowledge and understanding of building construction maintenance and legislation governing social housing providers

  • Experience of fault diagnosis and works specification

  • Knowledge of schedule of rates and experience in using them to select the most appropriate codes

  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation related to construction and/or landlord responsibilities

  • Building construction qualification to minimum ONC/OND or NVQ Level 3

  • Proven experience of delivering customer service excellence

  • Full UK Driving Licence
