The Opportunity/Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Supply Planner Manager to join our operations here in Huntingdon Cambs. Reporting to the Head of Supply Planning you will play a pivotal role in the creation and of supply chain buying/production plans within a wellestablished marketleading company. Reporting to the Head of Supply the Planner shall be responsible for executing the function to manage all activities across the product lifecycle for the portfolio of products components and materials assigned.
Main responsibilities will include:
Produce a credible plan to meet customer demands including inventory logistics and storage considerations. Ensure preproduction activities are undertaken to ensure the system is maintained with robust credible data that creates suitable supply plans taking actions to rectify inaccuracies
To work within the business ERP system. To interpret and action the planned proposals generated via the MRP outputs.
Own your supply chain with accountability to manage orderbook/project plans and make balanced decisions to ensure business priorities are supported to best satisfy customer demands
Feedback on vulnerabilities and opportunities into the Integrated Business Planning cycle and engage in developing solutions to issues.
Awareness of inventory logistics implications across the value stream and optimise inventory whilst minimising customer delivery risk/costs
Ensure robust answers are given to any Sales and Operation Planning questions through the Integrated Business Planning process
Carry out and input into required business and operational reviews to understand capability to deliver to demand requirements to define and manage actions to mitigate risks and issues
Operate to the relevant policies and procedures as defined
Requirements:
Significant experience of Purchasing planning / Production Planning and scheduling in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Decisive well organised systematic and rigorous approach to planning work and priorities.
Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills
Delivery of results (value) from successfully working with stakeholders and customers
Data driven with strong analytical and IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite Excel essentialPower BI preferable); strong understanding of ERP (Dynamics AX preferable); and MRP software
Experience of working within S&OP/ IBP environment would be advantageous
Likes to challenge current process with the intention to improve
Works on own initiative highly selfmotivated
