Job Description
Overview
Hearst Media Production Group is seeking a freelance Assistant Editor to join postproduction. This role will be responsible for managing and prepping incoming and outgoing media for the editorial team.
The Assistant Editor position is based at Hearst Media Production Groups (HMPG) Glendale office and reports to the EP/Head of PostProduction.
Responsibilities
- Logging
- File management
- Syncing
- Exporting
- Light graphics (within Premiere)
- Creating ancillary deliverablessuchas press release stills show clips & music cue sheets
Experience
- 2 years of relevant experience in digital postproduction
- Will consider relevant internships toward experience
- Experience with AfterEffects and Photoshop preferred
Qualifications
- Mastery of Premiere is a must
- The ability to adapt and work quickly under short deadlines
- Understanding of video codecs and workflows
- A high level of attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education
- Related experience and/or training considered as well as a combination of education and experience.
- HMPG is a proud supporter of military veterans. Related military training and experience will be considered.
The salary for this role is $22 $24 per hour. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors such as transferable skills work experience business needs market demands and conditions and other factors permitted by law. The base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
