Position Summary
Master of Arts in School Counseling with Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential
The Master of Arts in School Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential prepares individuals to serve as credentialed School Counselors in public PK12 school settings. This program is designed for those seeking to support student development through a Christcentered approach to academic career and socialemotional counseling.
The program includes a minimum of 50 units of graduate coursework and 800 hours of supervised clinical practice in PK12 environments. Each student follows a customized course sequence and educational plan determined in collaboration with the program director.
Admission to the program requires completion of three prerequisite courses. These are waived for applicants who hold a bachelors degree in Psychology from Fresno Pacific University a University of California (UC) or a California State University (CSU) campus.

Essential Functions
Role:
- Teach courses as described and assigned
- Discuss class progress with the program director including teaching performance through observation
- If supervising clinical experience: remotely supervise students according to the FPU and CTC requirements for supervised fieldwork
- Discuss supervisee progress with the Program Director
- Collaborate with other faculty as needed
- Demonstrate a commitment to serving and inspiring students in an academic context that integrates your Christian faith and learning.

- Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- M.A. or Ed.D. Ph.D. Psy.D in related field of study
- Experience as a School Counselor or Administrator
- Hold or be eligible for a PPS Credential in School Counseling Teaching Credential or Administrative Credential
- Ability to work with students staff and faculty in a collegial environment
- Commitment to the Christian faith and the Universitys mission of Christcentered teaching and learning and involvement in a local church.
Environmental Conditions:- Work is performed in a standard office and school environment including classrooms and counseling spaces.
- The role may require travel between school sites or to offcampus locations for meetings training or student support.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels typical of a school setting (e.g. student interactions bells hallway traffic).
- Involves frequent interaction with students families teachers and school personnel.
- May require occasional participation in evening or weekend events such as parent meetings open houses or school functions.
- Public contact position requiring professional apparel personal hygiene and grooming.
Physical Demands:- Frequent sitting standing and walking throughout the school day.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of materials or equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Regular use of computer and other office equipment requiring repetitive hand and wrist movements.
- Ability to speak and hear clearly in facetoface and telephone communication.
- Visual acuity to read documents student records and computer screens.
- May require extended periods of concentration and interaction in highstress or emotionally charged situations involving student wellbeing.

Compensation is based on highest completed degree level:
Masters degree: Anticipated pay per unit $811.51 $23.97 per hour
Terminal degree: Anticipated pay per unit $977.98 $28.82 per hour
