Job Description
Join the Administration team at Greenslopes Private Hospital as an Informed Financial Consent Officer Permanent FullTime opportunity.
About the Role
In this fastpaced role your previous billing or health insurance industry experience will be of benefit as you become a key member of the administration team. This role will see you responsible for providing estimates and eligibility checks to patients for admission as well as applying to health funds for funding for highcost items and associated estimates.
You will be joining a supportive team and be led by an approachable and positive Coordinator.
About You
To succeed in this role you will have an eye for detail along with exceptional communication skills both verbally and in writing. You will have the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. This role requires you to have an understanding of health funds contracts and their application to billing.
You will also demonstrate:
- Experience working in a hospital or private practice administration position
- A demonstrated ability to operate in an environment of change
- Proven organisational skills and the ability to plan and coordinate workflow
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
- Previous experience in Meditech patient management system and Online Eligibility Checking highly desirable
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities
