Parttime Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our Rowes Bay Residential Aged Care team on a parttime basis.
As part of our Hotel Services team your role as Chef includes managing all operational requirements in a commercial kitchen with the support of a dedicated team.
This role will entail:
- Cooking high quality nutritious meals for senior residents
- Adapting dishes to suit dietary allergy and modified food requirements
- Ensuring all food is prepared cooked and served in accordance with legislation
- Managing employee matters including rostering training and performance
- Assisting the Residential Manager with associated budgets and costs
To be successful you will have:
- Certificate IV Commercial Cookery or similar
- Food Handling and Hygiene certificate
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen in aged care or hospital
- Demonstrated knowledge of State Food Safe regulations
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment
- Demonstrated experience managing team performance
- Current national police check (or the ability to obtain one)
- Evidence of Australian work rights
- COVID 2025 Flu vaccination evidence in line with current requirements
