Job Description

Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for an experienced Director of Sales to drive the Sales & Events efforts of our Marriott awardwinning recently renovated Sheraton Hotel in Reston VA. The Director of Sales is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy for the hotel.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management within the hospitality industry will possess strong leadership skills have Marriott brand experience and a commitment to drive sales and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities including corporate clients group bookings and event planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and partners.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Oversee the sales team providing training mentorship and performance evaluations.
  • Participate in industry events trade shows and networking opportunities to promote the hotel.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with the hotels policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Hospitality or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years as a Director of Sales within the hotel industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data identify trends and make strategic recommendations.
  • Familiarity with industry software and tools.
