M&PT (Materials & Process Technology) Manufacturing Research and Development Laboratory in San Antonio Texas is seeking a highly motivated selfstarting and energetic individual to join its laboratory team as a M&PT Lab Technical Analyst. This role will support all San Antonio programs as well as the research and development lab activities including shipside support and technology implementation to the programs.

Position Responsibilities:

• Evaluates parts materials processes technology or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications

• Analyzes failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures

• Generates test plans identifies and categorizes failures determines root cause and documents results and recommendations

• Proposes develops and validates revisions to procedures and specifications

• Determines suitability of parts materials and processes and coordinates resolution of issues with suppliers and customers

• Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by designing developing fabricating testing evaluating and implementing new concepts and technology

• Provides knowledge and technical consultation to internal and external customers

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 1 year or more of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g. blueprint/schematic reading specification change design)

• 1 year or more of experience collecting organizing and analyzing data then summarizing findings

• 1 year or more of experience with handling chemicals and/or hazardous materials

• 1 year or more of experience operating conventional machine tools producing metal parts

• 1 year or more of experience with hand tools and/or handheld power tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Active Security Clearance

• Active Yankee White Clearance

• Experience working in a Machine shop

• Experience with industry military and government specifications handbooks and standards

• Experience with trouble shooting and rapid solution development.

• Experience with process improvements

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor 3 years related work experience etc..
