Actuarial Analyst Pricing

  • Location: Sydney NSW

  • Type: Permanent fulltime hours

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity where you will have the chance to be a part of a pricing evolution at QBE. As an Actuarial Analyst within the Consumer Private Motor Pricing team you will be part of actioning the pricing process from end to end to generate tangible benefits for QBE.

Your new role

A day in the role may look a bit like this;

  • Providing meaningful analysis and insights in areas of product segment channel and business profitability

  • Pricing impact analysis and development of price recommendations to the business

  • Work on premium adequacy data extraction modelling price setting and monitoring

  • Continual evolution of rating algorithms

  • Working closely with the business finance and valuations teams to deliver various requirements

About you

To be successful you will have.

  • Tertiary qualification in Mathematics Science Data Science Business Actuarial Studies or Computer Science

  • Experience in a similar role in General Insurance preferred

  • Strong MS Excel skills and experience in SAS programming

  • Familiarity with Emblem R or Radar will be advantageous

  • Ability to communicate your analysis and findings to a wide range of stakeholders within the business

  • Ability to work autonomously and solve problems
