Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking compassionate Respiratory Therapists like you to join our team. With the largest number of tracheostomy dependent patients in Oklahoma our interdisciplinary teams are dedicated to maximizing the potential of every child. As a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist you willadministera variety of therapeutic services and diagnostic tests to evaluate and care for our patients with respiratory insufficiencies and complexities. You will consultwith the physician and provides instruction and medical direction to nursing and other staff members related to patient care and equipment necessary for respiratory Bethany Childrens Health Center Respiratory Therapists performduties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and core values of excellence integrity compassion service and stewardship.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs all aspects of direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory

  • Determines effectiveness of the therapy and works with interdisciplinary team members to develop the best care plan for the patient

  • Communicates effectively to all interdisciplinary team members

Education:

  • Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Respiratory Care

Experience Required:

  • School Clinical experience required

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Credentialed as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care with the understanding that you will pursue and obtain Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialswithin 1 year of employment.

  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.

    • Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional letter will be accepted until license is issued (within 90 days of employment).

  • CPR Certification may be obtained upon hire

  • PALS Certification may be obtained upon hire

Work Schedule:

  • We offer 12hour shifts 7:00 pm 7:00 am)

    • Full Time: 3 12hour) Shifts Weekly

    • Part Time: 2 12hour) Shifts Weekly

    • PRN/Occasional: 1 12hour) Shift Per Pay Period (After completion of required training period).

2025 Start Dates Respiratory Therapy:

  • August 25

  • October 6

  • November 3

Base Pay & Shift Differentials:

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) starting hourly rate begins at $24.45 and goes up based on education and experience.

Bethany Childrens also offers shift differentials for working evening nights or weekend hours. If you were to work those time frames that amount would be added to your hourly base rate each hour. Approved rates are as follows:

  • Weekdays 3:00 p.m. 11:00 p.m: $2.25/hour

  • Weekdays 11:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m: $5.00/hour

  • Weekends 7:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m: $2.50/hour

  • Weekends 3:00 p.m. 11:00 p.m: $4.25/hour

  • Weekends 11:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m: $9.00/hour

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT starting hourly rate begins at $28.62 and goes up based on education and experience

Bethany Childrens also offers shift differentials for working evening nights or weekend hours. If you were to work those time frames that amount would be added to your hourly base rate each hour. Approved rates are as follows:

  • Weekdays 3:00 p.m. 11:00 p.m: $2.75/hour

  • Weekdays 11:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m: $6.00/hour

  • Weekends 7:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m: $3.00/hour

  • Weekends 3:00 p.m. 11:00 p.m: $5.25/hour

  • Weekends 11:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m: $11.00/hour

Paid respiratory therapy residency program

Hospitalpaid Oklahoma RCP licensure expenses reimbursed after one year of employment

A rotating two week set schedule

Relocation Bonus of $5000 if relocating into the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA)
