Description

Were seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist responsible for being the clinical lead for a program or an area of defined nursing practice. This individual provides leadership in order to integrate new knowledge and innovation within a specialty area. This individual:

  • Utilizes specialized knowledge and skills within the three spheres of influence: patient/family nurses and the organization/system.
  • Collaborates with the Nursing Director(s) to lead clinical practice and education on the unit with in the division and across the health system.
  • Is accountable for designing implementing and measuring safe cost effective evidencebased care strategies.
  • Contributes to the advancement of nursing practice at the unit/system local state and national and international levels and is instrumental in the application of the Professional Practice/Care Transformation Model across the health system.
  • Provides direct care for complex patient with multi system care issues. Issues may include: biophysical psychoemotional spiritual at the individual family and community level.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board;
  • Masters degree in nursing;
  • Meets GA Board of Nursing requirements for CNS;
  • Three years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse with at least two years of recent experience in the area of concentration.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
