Position Summary:
The PartTime Cook prepares and serves meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. The ideal candidate has experience in food service enjoys working with seniors and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals following menus recipes and dietary requirements.
- Ensure food is served at the correct temperature and presented in an appealing manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
- Assist with inventory stocking and ordering of food and kitchen supplies.
- Follow food safety procedures and regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to provide excellent service.
- Communicate effectively with residents to understand and accommodate their dietary needs and preferences.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Friendly positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Schedule:
- Parttime position (approximately 2025 hours per week)
- Flexible shifts may include mornings evenings weekends and holidays as needed
