Job Description
The Construction Manager provides the assistance to the planning coordination and direction for construction management activities on projects to ensure they are on time budget schedule and meet project performance and contractual requirements. Maintains project documentation to insure accuracy of project data information communications and approvals required by project and requirements between owner architects engineers and other project related entities. Assists in monitoring and reporting compliance with contractual requirements of contractor architectengineer and other team members as applicable. Maintains complex project logs and tracking of relevant data and information for use by project staff and necessary entities. Participates in meeting preparation support and follow up documentation. Participates in project closeout to ensure all requirements are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible as onsite liaison with contractor and oversight of progress of construction
- Coordinate direct and monitor activities of contractors/subcontractors engineers architects and related performing entities
- Manage project controls cost schedule performance activities and procedures or as required by the client
- Conduct project meetings and provide meeting minutes documentation administration and tracking of relevant information
- Ensure contractors architects and engineers will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety performance project staff and equipment
- Provide management of project logistics organization and safety
- Perform other duties as required to ensure project success
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Construction Management or Architecture is required (Extensive relevant construction management experience in place of education may be considered)
- 8 to 10 years full time experience in engineering or construction management.
- Ability to manage the project schedule and update process while collaborating with internal and external clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong communication presentation writing and computer skills are essential
- Superior organization and planning skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products and experience with Microsoft Project
- Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) preferred.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of nondiscriminatory factors including education qualifications experience and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $90000.00$100000.00 .
