The BCBA will oversee ABA therapists and paraprofessionals. They will monitor all ABA programs
through observation and review of data collection. The BCBA will review all ABA progress reports and
collaborate with ABA therapists and paraprofessionals on the data collected. The BCBA will be available
to respond to behavioral challenges during the program and provide interventions and consultation to all
classroom staff. They will observe students in small groups on a daily basis and provide feedback as
needed on behavioral concerns. The BCBA will collaborate with outside providers as needed. The BCBA
will assist ABA paraprofessionals and classroom teachers schedule ABA services and consultation.
Program: Special Education Extended Year Program (Pre Kto students entering Grade 8
Working Times:
23 Days of summer school (July 13 July 7 August 1 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. plus an additional
plus 30 hours of prep time
Required training dates June 17 and June 18th 8 AM3:00 PM (Dates tentative based on last day
of school)
Requirements:
Minimum of a Masters Degree.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification (BCBA).
Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst in MA (LABA) preferred.
12 years experience working in a public school.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Observe and supervise ABA Therapists provide performance feedback to ensure treatment
fidelity.
Monitor all ABA programs through observation and review of data collection.
Review all ABA progress reports and collaborate with ABA therapists and paraprofessionals on
the data collected.
Respond to behavioral challenges during the program and provide interventions and consultation
to all classroom staff.
Develop researchbased behavior support plans and support implementation during ESY based on
direct and indirect measures of behavior.
Train staff to implement behavior support plans provide modeling of plans followup and
feedback on plan implementation.
Observe students in small groups daily and provide feedback as needed on behavioral concerns.
Collaborate with school staff and ancillary service providers families and outside providers as
needed.
Assist ABA paraprofessionals and classroom teachers in scheduling ABA services and
consultation.
Implement and oversee compliance with restraint regulations proper documentation of incidents
and incident followup with staff.
Meet and consult regularly with buildingbased and district special education leaders to
collaborate and problemsolve.
Contribute to initiatives and events which may be assigned by the Principal Assistant Principal
and/or ESY Coordinator.
