Under the supervision of the Senior CT Scan Technologist and department leadership provides direct patient care services and other related functions in support of the department. Performs independently within scope of department policies. Clinically works at the direction of a qualified Radiologist.New RT Grads Welcome to Apply!
This position includes performing both CT and XRay exams.
I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Properly performs all diagnostic and fluoroscopic radiologic techniques and examinations in multimodality imaging areas (Radiology CT Scan and/or Mammography) consistent with the age of the patient within inpatient or outpatient settings in compliance with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
2. Gather pertinent clinical data and maintain accurate patient records. 3. Accurately completes all exams paperwork and submits promptly
4. Positions and transfers patients appropriately.
5. Assists physicians with interventional exams.
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technology
2. Registered in the special modalities where they are working (CT Radiology and/or Mammography). within 6 months for internal candidates.
3. Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
4. Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fastpaced setting collaborating with peers to produce optimum results
2. Verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with patients and families. OR equivalent combination of the above
Unless certification licensure or registration is required an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
