Job Description

General Purpose and Scope of the Position

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Workforce and Careers this position provides strategic leadership coordination and project management to support key initiatives within the Workforce and Careers division at Ivy Tech Community College.

As the primary data lead for the division this position ensures the accuracy transparency and strategic use of workforcerelated data including thirdparty certifications microcredentials and skills training outcomes. The position also serves as a liaison to internal teams and external partnersincluding state agencies and economic development organizationsto drive alignment between workforce programs and Indianas talent and economic needs.

The position will lead efforts to evaluate credential gaps manage employer engagement data support statewide collaboration efforts and prepare executivelevel materials for internal and external stakeholders. This position plays a vital role in strengthening workforceeducation alignment and advancing the Colleges mission to deliver highvalue careerconnected learning opportunities to Indianas learners and employers.

Major Responsibilities

Supports the Senior Vice President Vice President of Advanced Manufacturing Vice President of Business and Logistics Vice President of Healthcare Vice President of IT and Vice President of Career Link in their leadership responsibilities related to key collegewide projects for which they serve as project sponsor or owner.

Serves as primary data lead for the division responsible for the oversight of the integrity and accuracy of data generated within the Workforce and Careers division. Serves as the data strategy lead in the collection of data within the Colleges CRMs: IvyConnect (students) and IvyForce (employers).

Serves as the primary liaison with Business Analytics and the Office of Information Technology ensuring the needs of the statewide team and partners are addressed.

Serves as the business owner for internal datafocused strategy including developing and monitoring statewide workforce college metrics; defining and collecting microcredentials and thirdparty certifications; and defining and monitoring skills training completions.

Contribute to the development of nondegree credential taxonomies and frameworks that support transparency and transferability.

Evaluate gaps between labor market needs and existing credentials and work collaboratively with Vice Presidents and Assistant Vice Presidents to recommend strategies to close them.

Stay informed on national and regional workforce policy credentialing standards and economic development initiatives.

Supports the collection and dissemination of the Colleges qualitative data gathering through employer engagement with partner agencies and other stakeholders.

Serves as owner and college representative for statelevel strategies focused on alignment of credentials to labor market data in collaboration with the Department of Education Department of Workforce Development and the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) and its branded initiatives.

Oversees workforceeducation alignmentrelated projects within the Workforce and Careers division. Includes:

Developing and presenting executive reports creating project teams convening and conducting meetings managing project timelines budgets and coordinating training and implementation of projects.

Tracks deadlines deliverables and outcomes of projects.

Grant writing strategic planning and policy development efforts.

Serves as a liaison to other divisions and external entities to communicate divisional needs and requests solicit opportunities for collaboration and participate in crossdivisional work groups and committees. Collaborates with external entities to advance the Colleges goals ex. CredLens.

Responsible for the preparation of presentation materials including presentations to the State Board of Trustees for the Workforce & Careers division in collaboration with the internal marketing team.

Builds and maintains strong enduring statewide campus and external stakeholder relationships.

Working closely with the Senior Vice President of Workforce and Careers serves as a primary contact between the division and Business Affairs for budget planning and grant management activities.

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) other applicable regulatory requirements and professional standards.

Salary: The salary range for this position is $100000$110000 and is commensurate with education skills and relevant work experience.

Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree or data analytics certifications required; Masters degree preferred.

Proven data analysis including labor market analysis skills; experience with Lightcast preferred.

Experience with data visualization and business analytics tools such as Tableau PowerBI Looker SAS Analytics etc. preferred.

Proven client management skills and strong collaboration skills to work with a variety of internal constituencies develop partner relationships and rapport and persuasive influence to gain buy in and support.

Ability to identify systemlevel strategic needs resource key projects develop recommendations and lead change implementation with little direction.

Can effectively translate longterm strategic vision into short and medium term tactical operational initiatives goals and projects both vertically and horizontally within the organization.

Communicate both the technical details as well as provide high level summaries and overviews to reach multiple constituents.

Credible and trusted leader with the skills for involving people in a systematic organized approach to problem solving.

Critical thinker able to be a strategic thought partner to leadership teams.

Effective project manager able to implement projects with key stakeholders on time and within budget.

Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills and business acumen as demonstrated through previous work experience and accomplishments.

Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form. Able to present information in clear concise terms to all position levels within the organization.

Ability to be persuasive yet tactful.

Initiative drive and attention to detail. Understands short and longterm goals and can handle details to ensure successful project implementation.

Must have high ethical standards and ability to exercise sound judgement in dealing with politically sensitive situations and catering to differing interests.
