Job Description
The Clinical Services Coordinator is a key member of the Program for Children with Medical Complexities. The position assists Program leadership in coordinating the activities of the teams that care for the patients within the Program and provides administrative support for program operations. The Clinical Services Coordinator works with providers and leadership across the institution in matters concerning the Program for Children with Medical Complexities.
1. Works with providers program leadership and hospital personnel to develop an organized scheduling process for the patients and across interdisciplinary teams.
2. Acts as the primary resource for problem solving for providers and for the program. Identifies goals and objectives for performance improvement projects in order to provide the best patient care optimum customer service and improve physician satisfaction.
3. Serves as point of contact for referring physician practices and works with them to resolve issues related to new patient referrals/scheduling.
4. Maintains knowledge of benefit eligibility provisions and precertification needs as required by payers. Works with appropriate individuals to ensure that all necessary approvals and clearances are received for coordinated care.
5. Works with administrative staff care coordinators providers and Program leadership in the development coordination and promotion of program events and meetings.
6. In conjunction with Complex care program Leadership monitors overall progress of the program and supports appropriate action to address questions or concerns. This can include regulatory requirements quality improvement projects and volumes for the department.
7. Maintains a clinical database on complex care program patients and assures proper information is being collected and stored.
8. Works with program leadership to conduct routine needs assessments for the program.
9. Builds and maintains relationships with hospital wide partners
10. Completes agendas minutes correspondence and distributes materials to appropriate individuals.
11. Maintains programspecific content for program website (Lurie and NU) and works with appropriate departments to update content routinely. Collaborates with Marketing to create and distribute marketing/promotional materials.
12. Partners closely with care coordinators on all matters related to patient program enrollment appointment scheduling and intakes
13. Oversight and management of provider template and schedules in Epic
14. Other job functions as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. High School Diploma Required. Bachelors Degree Preferred; minimum four years of related administrative experience required. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of either area.
2. Excellent leadership organizational and analytical skills ability to work with teams strong written/verbal communication.
3. Strong planning and coordination skills.
4. Ability to work independently and exercise good and professional judgment.
5. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical education programs preferred.
6. Experience in an Academic Medical Center preferred
7. Extensive knowledge and experience working with Microsoft applications.

Pay Range
$24.00$39.24 HourlyAt Lurie Childrens we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity reflecting individual contributions experience and expertise. The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position. Ranges are regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions.In addition to base salary Lurie Childrens offer a comprehensive rewards package that may include differentials for some hourly employees leadership incentivesfor select roles health and retirement benefits and wellbeing programs.
