Job Description
Covenant Health is one of Canadas largest Catholic healthcare providers and a strong partner in Albertas integrated health system leading a broad range of healthcare services in hospitals and healthcare centres in urban and rural communities. The Covenant family (Covenant Health Covenant Care and Covenant Living) provides acute care continuing care and independent living services at 26 sites in 15 communities across Alberta.
The successful candidate must be licensed with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta and must be appointed to the Edmonton Zone Medical Staff. The successful applicant will be eligible to be certified by the RCPS of Canada or equivalent in the specialty of pediatrics. An interest in community pediatrics or subspecialty training in areas aligned with community pediatrics activities is preferred.
Covenant Health in partnership with Alberta Health Services invites applications for a General Pediatrician at the Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton Alberta.
In collaboration with their colleagues the successful candidate will deliver inpatient care and consultation services to hospital patients. This position participate in the programs oncall inpatient schedule while maintaining a communitybased practice.
The successful applicant will be expected to participate in teaching residents or medical students and to apply for a Clinical Faculty Appointment in the Department of Pediatrics University of Alberta which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.
