Video Coordinator

Media Production Specialist II

Position Details

Emergency Hire Temporary position lasting at most 90 days with an option of being extended to 180 days.

Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Director of Football Operations (DFO) and Head Football Coach the Video Coordinator oversees all film and production aspects of the football program. Responsibilities include filming games and practices acquiring and editing opponent footage and producing instructional and creative video content to support both offensive and defensive units. The Video Coordinator is responsible for maintaining film equipment troubleshooting technical issues and implementing solutions. A deep understanding of football strategy is essential as the role involves analyzing game trends and providing tactical recommendations to counter opponents schemes.

FLSA:Exempt

CSU Classification Salary Range:$4832 $8759per month

Hiring Range/Rate:$28.65 per hour

Time Base:HourlyIntermittent/Daily Rate

Department Information

The program of Intercollegiate Athletics is organized and conducted as an integral part of the total educational program of the University. Academic excellence and athletic accomplishments go hand in hand at Sacramento State. Big West Western Athletic Conference Mountain Pacific Sports Federation and American Athletic Conferences. Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelors degree from an accredited fouryear college or university in a related field or equivalent experience.
  2. Two years of experience in film analysis and video production preferably in a football or sportsrelated setting.
  3. Proficiency with DVSport Video Editing Software or similar platforms.
  4. Experience with a full range of media production techniques including digital networks sound recording video recording photography lighting editing methods and equipment.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  1. Strong understanding of video production techniques graphics and multimedia content creation.
  2. Ability to analyze trends evaluate film and provide datadriven insights for coaching staff.
  3. Proficiency in video editing software including Adobe Creative Suite Final Cut Pro and After Effects on both Mac and PC platforms.
  4. Advanced knowledge of photography principles including lighting color and composition.
  5. Ability to set up and operate a wide variety of production equipment including multicamera video productions and studio gear.
  6. Strong writing and editing skills with a solid foundation in English grammar.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and studentathletes.
  8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment with tight deadlines.
  9. Commitment to adhering to NCAA conference and athletic department rules and regulations.
  10. Ability to support the departments commitment to diversity equity integrity and professionalism.
  11. Flexibility to work extended hours weekends and travel with the team as needed.
