Quality & Continuous Improvement Provisional
High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) technology is used for energy transmission over long distances and to connect electricity networks with minimal losses. In addition to energy transfer HVDC technology can also alleviate electrical quality problems and can contribute to the stabilization of connected power grids for offshore wind power or longdistance underground / underwater transmissions. Hitachi Energy is a leading supplier of HVDC solutions globally and has an exciting Quality & Continuous Improvement Provisional opportunity working with Ireland UK HVDC Service team supporting existing and future HVDC service customers in Ireland and the UK.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Local Service Centre (LSC) manager We are seeking a proactive and detailoriented Quality & Continuous Improvement Provisional** to support our efforts in enhancing product quality and operational efficiency. This role will involve assisting in the development implementation and monitoring of quality control systems processes and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be committed to driving improvement in processes ensuring compliance with industry standards and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Youll make an impact by
Assist in the of quality management systems including audits assessments and corrective actions.
Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across all departments.
Help track performance metrics and identify opportunities for process optimization.
Collaborate with the Global Service Organization(GSG) and crossfunctional teams to identify quality gaps recommend improvements ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Participate in root cause analysis and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Assist in training staff on quality and continuous improvement practices.
Support the preparation and review of quality documentation including procedures reports and specifications.
Participate in quality inspections and process audits and help generate reports on findings.
Monitor industry trends and standards to ensure the organization remains competitive in quality and operational practices.
Provide general administrative support to the Quality and Continuous Improvement team as needed.

Your Background
Bachelors degree in engineering Business Quality Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong understanding of quality management systems process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) and industry standards (e.g. ISO GMP).
Previous experience in a quality or continuous improvement role is a plus but not required.
Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a crossfunctional environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Fluent written & spoken English.
An ability to work on your own initiative.
Driving license.
