Job Description

Overview

Overview: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides specialized care to patients with mental health conditions in collaboration with a psychiatrist(s). The APP assesses patients interprets diagnostic test/results and develops and implements treatment plans to address the patients unique needs in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: The APP role requires a high level of clinical expertise and the ability to work with patients who may have complex mental health needs. Psychiatric care can include both Inpatient and the outpatient setting as full time part time and/or relief at one or more of several behavioral health facilities within the Cone Health system.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Active North Carolina Board of Nursing Nurse Practitioner License. Drug Enforcement Administration License (North Carolina). Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification preferred. Physician AssistantCertified and current North Carolina Medical Board License. One to three years experience in an inpatient and/or outpatient psychiatric setting strongly preferred.
