Job Description: The Mechanical Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of water treatment and fume treatment plants. This includes designing testing and ensuring the proper functioning of mechanical systems. The role involves collaboration with the engineering team to ensure that all mechanical systems are operating efficiently and safely during the construction and commissioning phases.
Requisites:
University Degree (or diploma and wide experience in the field)
Mechanical equipment drawing knowledge and interpretation
Equipment erection & assembly procedure knowledge
Equipment alignment procedure and tools reading
Erection team supervision coordination and inspection
Process of work evaluation and eventually recovery action
Equipment tuning up and cold start up set up
Equipment start up procedures
As build drawings markup corrections
Nonconformity reporting
Punch lists follow up and finalization attitude
Team working and target achievement attitude
The candidate should be able to carry out and supervise mechanical and piping assembly plant start up (supervision for flushing/cabling cold tests monitoring of operating sequences hot tests plant acceptance tests performance tests) while respecting contract obligations and budget requirements. Candidates are required to have good knowledge of the English language and office computer system and they must be willing to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the mechanical design and installation of systems within the water and fume treatment plants. Monitor inspect and ensure the proper functioning of mechanical systems and equipment. Provide technical support to the team and troubleshoot mechanical issues during the installation process. Work closely with project managers and other specialists to ensure project timelines and budgets are met. Ensure all mechanical systems meet safety standards and environmental regulations.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience 5 years) in mechanical design or installation in industrial projects particularly in water or fume treatment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems pumps valves and related equipment. Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment. Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work onsite in Germany and willingness to travel.
