KBR is seeking a System Engineer to join an elite team providing Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services in Springfield VA. The selected candidate will work multiple ground system projects and tasksfrom broad strategic issues (e.g. policies concept of operations etc. to tactical concerns (e.g. nearterm schedules testing system integration and transition etc. to support vital operational missions.

Key Responsibilities:
Support Chief Engineer and government staff to execute systems engineering and integration (SE&I) activities across customer site and work collaboratively with other customer organizations across the mission enterprise.
Work with SE&I teams to execute site system engineering process; oversee site processes used to document and manage site baseline to accommodate evolving mission needs.
Collaborate with System Program Offices (SPO) local operations teams and other Government Agencies to integrate various GEOINT space missions into a groundbased architecture;ensure the delivering organization understands site integration needs and processes.
Assist in developing standards processes and procedures and operations & maintenance plans; review and evaluate technical documentation (e.g. RFCs CONOPS requirements; issues and risks etc..
Represent governments interests at various forums; provide analysis and recommendations to multiple government customers.
Serve as liaison between GPOC and internal/external organizational project managers to guide and monitor progress.
Occasional CONUS travel.

Qualifications:
Required:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
Bachelors degree in science technology engineering or mathematics (STEM)* and nine 9 years or more experience; or masters in STEM field and seven 7 years or more experience. *contract requirement
Expertise in full system engineering life cycle; from concept requirements design & development to deployment and operational maintenance.
Experience with project management supporting the delivery integration and transition of mission systems and/or mission applications.
Ability to work independently to support multiple government customers and large complex projects to address organizations needs throughout system development lifecycle.
Selfstarter proactively addresses customer requirements without supervision; readily defines solutions for broad abstract topics.
Polished communicator (written/verbal) impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment; and comfortable briefing or communicating with senior government managers.
Master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders consensus builder.
Desired:
Realtime operations experience as a SIGINT or GEOINT spacecraft operator spacecraft engineer or ground systems operator; familiarity with space operations and policies ground operations and system requirements/governance policies.
Familiar with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Agile development cloud technologies.
