Summary
Works as part of a team in the classroom and within the whole center to promote the social physical and intellectual growth of children by providing developmentally appropriate care; observing and documenting childrens learning and development; and communicating with parents and center team members.
Education
A minimum of 9 credits in Early Childhood Education including 3 from a Child Growth and Development class all from a regionally accredited college.
Certification Registration & Licensure
Certification required to obtain: Must be certified in Infant and Child CPR including AED training and Basic First Aid within 6 months of hire; must complete Water Safety training within 1 year of employment.
Experience
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of one years experience working with young children in a group setting.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates support for classroom team and all coworkers in the Center.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with each child and family.
Engages with children to meet their developmental and socialemotional needs.
Models and teaches children selfregulation skills.
Implements a childcentered curriculum in a safe organized environment.
Supports and follows Concord Hospital and Learning Center policies and procedures.
Commits to continual learning and professional development; suggests improvements based on best practice.
