You will help RegalRexnord to be a pioneer by working closely with the largest automotive customers in the world along with the largest electronic partners.
Essential Responsibilities
- Performs quality audits on components for conformance to customer specifications and blueprints using prescribed equipment such as gauges micrometers and calipers. Performs statistical process control.
- Maintains all QS and TS document controls.
- Selects materials and components for inspection and inspects for specified tolerance and correct dimension and part integrity.
- Follows up correction of defects as instructed.
- Audits production areas for compliance with standard inspection procedures and checks that parts in process are properly identified.
- Qualified candidates must have experience using above mentioned equipment and successfully pass the technician test which measures these skills and qualifications.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
- Prior auditor experience in manufacturing environment.
- Gage measurement experience
- Blueprint reading skills
Physical Requirements
Lifting up to a maximum of 40 lbs. Occasional bending and lifting at the knees. Twisting frequently at waist and shoulder levels. Standing continuously. Frequent reaching out in front of body. Sustained physical effort. Capable of wearing safety glasses with permanent side shields at all times. Capable of wearing steeltoed safety shoes at all times. Capable of wearing other PPE as required. Work may be repetitive in nature. Continuous mental/visual attention. Visual acuity to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure meet specifications. Manual dexterity sufficient to perform assembly work.
Working Conditions
Typical manufacturing setting with moveable mechanical parts and/or equipment.
In addition to normal manufacturing shop elements regarding temperatures (no air conditioning so warmer in summer months and cooler in winter months) dust and noise levels (within required limits) working conditions may be somewhat disagreeable due to frequency of vibration (due to volume of parts) and exposure to higher than normal dust levels.
