Job Description

Position Title: Retail Rescue Coordinator

Classification: NonExempt

Reports To: Food Rescue Manager

Location: Denver

Compensation: $24.20 per hour

The Retail Rescue Coordinator is responsible for maintaining relationships with retail partners at the store level inclusive of owning donation performance and program work is pivotal to providingadonatednocost foodstream facing role with significant time spent in the market engaging donors in stores and training retailenabled agency position supports the Food Rescue Manager with corporate retail partner relations agency partner store assignments and onboarding new agencies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Food Bank of the Rockies staff donors and Hunger Relief Partners to ensure compliance of our food safety and donation standards
  • Steward existing retail donors to ensure they are engaged informed and recognized
  • Meet with donors to review trends train staff and identify growth opportunities
  • Record donor engagements in CRM platform (Raisers Edge) and leverage CRM for stewardship planning
  • Prospect research and solicit new retail donor partners
  • Facilitate the complex relationships between partner agencies and retail donors
  • Conduct store and agency visits and trainings to enhance relationships educate about the Food Rescue Program resolve issues and improve performance
  • Work with Food Rescue Manager on program optimization and account management

  • 80 travel within front range of Colorado
  • Onsite store and partner visits
  • Standing and walking throughout the shift; sitting intermittently
  • Occasionally lift more than 25 pounds
  • Primarily office or retail environments with controlled temperatures
  • Extensive use of a computer and keyboard

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree preferred
  • 35 years prior experience working in a retail setting and / or sales capacity preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Experience using collaborative tools for file storage and sharing meeting scheduling and virtual collaboration
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Expected Hours of Work:

This role is considered fulltime nonexempt working approximately 40 hours per week Monday through Friday and is not eligible for overtime. Travel (up to 80 within the geographic region will be required and is primarily local during the business day. A flexible work schedule is available with the option to work remotely due to the travel.

Compensation: $24.20 per hour
