OVERVIEW
The Food Service Assistant supports the schools food service program. The lunch and breakfast program at ECS is an extension of the environmentallyfocused curriculum. By sourcing local farmers using sustainable product purchasing recycled or reusable trays and utensils and patronizing local food service establishments ECS has created a public school meal program unlike any other in Western Pennsylvania. The Environmental Charter School Lunch Program (ECSLP) provides a healthy delicious and sustainable (both agricultural and economic) meal within the guidelines of the National School Lunch Program.
Educational Background and Work Experience - Minimum of 1 year of food service experience and Food Safety Certification preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
Compensation: $17.35/hour Please submit a cover letter and resume. Clearances current within one year of hire date will be required and include Arrest & Conviction Disclosure Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151 Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Clearance (Act 34 and FBI Criminal Background Check (Act 114. Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168 and Mandatory Reporter Training also will be required.
