JOB SUMMARY The Process Planner is responsible for structuring customer orders into the ERP system. This is achieved by constructing the project framework creating production routers and purchase orders to complete the customer requirements.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Analyze and compile data on each factor that may have an influence on costs.
- Prepare cost estimates based on customer specifications and Application Engineering data and create Baan budgets for all quoted activities establish initial master scheduling of project based upon order receipt and determine necessary action plan and requirements to complete.
- Methodize the job and apply proper fabricating times.
- Work closely with sourcing and manufacturing to resolve daily/weekly capacity or supplier issues and expedite as required to meet schedule commitments.
- Develop accurate manufacturing part routings that support Engineering designed drawings.
- Develop and understand material requisitioning standards for purchased items.
- Read and understand technical requirements on purchase orders and drawings to input requirements as needed.
- Work crossfunctionally across departments to support the work scope required.
- Develop an understanding of H&S manufacturing capabilities and quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Advanced degree in engineering manufacturing or similar technical degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum one year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Energetic selfdirected individual capable of functioning in a fast paced high expectation environment.
- Able to learn gear and gear drive manufacturing processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid data entry skills and able to use Microsoft Office Outlook and Baan MRP software.
- Ability to read and understand customer drawings.
- Creative thinker and problem solver.
- Works well within a team environment.
