Job Title: Head Coach NCAA Mens Golf

Positions Supervised: Assistant Coach; Student Employees
Review of applications will begin on May 14 and will continue until the position is filled. The anticipated start date for the successful candidate is May 23 or later.
The head coach oversees all aspects of the structure leadership and administration of the intercollegiate athletic program in a manner that aligns with the mission and values of the University and Athletics department. This position recruits and works to retain studentathletes; monitors studentathletes academic progress; strives for competitive success; manages the budget; oversees the coaching staff; and verifies the programs compliance with University Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association NCAA) guidelines.

StudentAthlete Academic Success
- Prioritizes promotes and actively supports studentathlete academic achievement
- Manages and monitors all aspects of the intercollegiate athletic program including academic success retention and graduation progress; implements action plans with the appropriate academic staff when necessary
- Monitor on a regular and consistent basis studentathletes to ensure that they are attending class completing assignments and exams in a timely manner performing to their highest academic potential obtaining the highest grades possible and graduating with an undergraduate degree within no more than five 5 years of entering college
- Follows appropriate academic policies and effectively collaborates with the Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) and NCAA academic coordinators to resolve conflicts
- Monitor on a regular and consistent basis studentathletes to ensure that they are attending class completing assignments and exams in a timely manner performing to their highest academic potential obtaining the highest grades possible and graduating with an undergraduate degree within no more than five 5 years of entering college
- Work in cooperation with and in support of the Universitys faculty administrative officials and Department of Intercollegiate Athletics staff in meeting the academic requirements of the studentathletes who are members of the program which shall include achieving goals for graduation Academic Progress Rate (APR) Graduation Success Rate (GSR) and any other academic achievement metrics for studentathletes established by the University President and/or the Athletics Director annually.
Competitive Success of Sport
- Identifies evaluates and recruits studentathletes for success at Lindenwood University
- Imparts to studentathletes the fundamental philosophy skills and knowledge essential to the sport
- Produces a highperforming team capable of meeting and maintaining competitive expectations as determined by the University athletic administration
- Acts in accordance with the athletic code of conduct and exhibits professional and sportsmanlike manner
Administration
- Know recognize and comply with all federal state and local laws as well as all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Athletics Conference and University Rules and in accordance with the applicable NCAA Bylaw promote an atmosphere for compliance within the sports program supervised by Head Coach and monitor the activities regarding compliance of all assistant coaches and other staff involved with the program who report directly or indirectly to the Head Coach;
- Maintains current knowledge of and adheres to the policies procedures bylaws regulations and rules of Lindenwood University.
- Completes all program administrative responsibilities according to procedures
- Cooperate in the development of and strictly adhere to any budgets allocated for the sport program and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics
- Operates a fiscally responsible program; provides leadership for the teams fundraising activities and program advancement initiatives
- Properly cares for stores distributes and maintains a detailed inventory of team equipment uniforms and supplies
- Head Coach shall cooperate fully with the Departments Office of Compliance and consistent with Head Coachs obligation under NCAA Bylaw 10.1 provide truthful and complete information to the University and/or NCAA regarding potential violations of NCAA rules
- Immediately report to the Athletics Director and the Departments Office of Compliance Services in writing if any person or entity including without limitation representatives of the Universitys athletics interests commonly known as boosters has violated or is likely to violate any laws NCAA Conference or University rules
Communication Collaboration and Q2 Service Excellence

- Ensure every coach and staff member under Head Coachs supervision is engaging in fair safe and responsible treatment of studentathletes on the team and avoiding behavior that could in any way jeopardize a studentathletes health safety welfare or that could otherwise cause harm or risk to a studentathlete
Community Relations and Engagement
- Establishes effective relationships with the community while positively representing the program department and University
- Creates experiential learning opportunities for studentathletes by actively engaging or participating in campus and/or community outreach projects and events
- Maintains effective relationships with alumni and works to keep them engaged with the University
Employee Management and Development
- Hire train and supervise staff within the program
- Sets clear performance expectations for coaching staff and holds them accountable
- Provides specific ongoing and sincere feedback to guide assistant coachs performance
- Encourages and supports assistant coaches toward engaging in professional growth opportunities in conjunction with the performance evaluation process and the establishment of development goals
- Conducts thorough and timely performance evaluations based on evidence observation and feedback
- Actively listens seeks diversity of thought and holds staff accountable for commitment to inclusive principles

Required Qualifications An equivalent combination of education training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 3 years collegiate coaching experience preferred
- NCAA Division I coaching experience preferred
- Head coaching experience preferred
