Background Check Information
Due to the nature of this position the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.
JOB SUMMARY
Plans promotes coordinates supervises and evaluates assigned youth and adult recreation programs and community events.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Four 4 years of related experience or a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
A valid Drivers License issued by the State of Utah is required within thirty 30 days of hire date to operate a Salt Lake County vehicle.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must intermittently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Will occasionally work in outdoor conditions and be exposed to all seasons of weather.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITION
Required to work flexible day and evening hours including some weekends and holidays.
Applicants applying for an aquatic position must possess the following at the time of hire OR obtain within six
6 months of hire date: Certification as a StarFish Aquatic Institute StarFish Swimming Instructor
(SSI) AND a Certified Pool Operator (CPO); OR an Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) AND a StarGuard Instructor Trainee (SAI).
