The Role
In this role you will produce highimpact stories for a broad range of platforms and audiences ensuring content from the ABCs Specialist Reporting Team delivers consistently high standards of agendasetting content across all platforms.
The Job
Working collaboratively and flexibly you will also:
- Actively engage with communities to generate stories that reflect Australias diversity and align with the ABCs AudienceFirst News strategy.
- Collaborate closely with staff members including those who live with disability offering editorial logistical and technical support to facilitate smooth and efficient news production.
- Research produce and deliver accurate concise and clear multiplatform network stories consistent with the ABCs editorial standards.
- Produce video audio social and digital stories to a standard ready to publish with a focus on innovation to ensure the team is at the forefront of ondemand audience engagement.
- Work collaboratively with News graphics and wider teams to design and create high quality graphicsthat align with the digital and video ondemand strategies.
- Keep informed aware and up to date with disability affairs to deliver accurate and creative content often under deadline pressure that maximises audience reach and engagement.
Position Description: MULTIPLATFORM
About You
You will be an experienced multiplatform producer with experience in creating high impact content for online and mobile. A team player you have strong storytelling skills and a demonstrated background in high quality journalism. Experience working with individuals with disabilities in having resources and accommodations needed to perform their role effectively would be highly regarded.
You will also have:
- A proven ability to source and maintain contacts across the broader Australian community.
- Demonstrated interest knowledge and awareness of news relating to disability affairs.
- Welldevelopedorganisational problem solving andtroubleshooting skills with the capacity to manage multiple and complex projects simultaneously under stringent timeframes.
- Strong track recordwritingand producing digitalstorieswith text graphics and photos/videoto a highproductionlevel.
