Job Description

Sound good We are looking for motivated people to join our Sewer Response North Clyde team working in the Glasgow area.

What youll do

Your numberone priority is resolving customer drainage issues. Youll take control of any situation investigate problems that come up in sewer network with solutions that make customers happy always making sure theyre kept up to date.

Youll also carry out routine maintenance on sewer network infrastructure clearing chokes investigating EPI and carrying out Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) checks as well as plant equipment and vehicle checks. All while putting health and safety first (Chapter 8 NSRWA will be your guide) and keeping any service disruption to a minimum.

Accurate reports are essential so youll be across reporting systems for measuring performance and productivity. And as youll be working as part of a team youll do your turn on the standby rota for outofhours work.

What youll bring

Youll spend a fair amount of time working alone so youll need to be selfmotivated but still eager to contribute to your teams goals. Basic IT skills are a must as youll be using digital equipment and apps throughout the day. Youll need report writing skills too nothing fancy but enough to get your point across clearly quickly and accurately.

A full clean driving licence is nonnegotiable as youll need to travel around sites in the Glasgow area.

A few nice to haves: it would be ideal if you have experience with HGVs. And experience using cable avoidance tools would be good. As would an understanding of health and safety principles for site working.

Holding a CPCS or NSRWA qualification would be great but its not a musthave.

The normal hours for this role are Monday to Friday from 8am until 4pm. But youll get plenty of time to recharge with 38 days of holiday every year (including public holidays). The notsosmall print

This role will be a Grade 4 . If youre new to Scottish Water youll join us on a starting salary of 27590. Performancedriven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of 32410.
