Job Description:
We are seeking an Insurance Counsel (Property & Casualty) to join our Insurance and Financial Services team. In this role you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to our clients in the insurance industry with a specific focus on property and casualty products. This position offers the opportunity to work with leading clients on complex legal matters including product development claim processing and reinsurance transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting reviewing and negotiating insurance and reinsurance agreements product filings and claimsrelated documentation.
- Providing legal guidance on property and casualty insurance matters including compliance and regulatory strategy.
- Collaborating with internal teams and clients on product development insurance deal processes and risk management projects.
- Managing legal issues related to claims processing policy interpretation and state insurance regulations for clients in the P&C sector.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in insurance law with a focus on property and casualty.
- Strong knowledge of state insurance regulations reinsurance deal processes and product lifecycle development.
- Proven track record of advising clients on claim handling procedures insurance compliance and policy structuring.
- Excellent communication negotiation technology and problemsolving skills.
- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent and licensed to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with insurance product development and claims litigation strategy.
- Familiarity with life and annuity products is a plus but not required.
- Prior experience working with insurance carriers or reinsurers.
- Exposure to projectbased environments is a plus.
Compensation Benefits & Location:
This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $130000 and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits 401K and more.
