We are seeking a Banquet Server to join our rapidly growing Banquets & Catering team.

The Opportunity:

As a Server you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the guest experience and the quality of service that will be extended to visitors students faculty and staff on a daily basis. The Server primarily provides a consistent and professional delivery of customer service to guests including full restaurant table service. As a customerfacing member of the Banquets and Catering team the Server embodies the values and work ethic of the entire staff. He or she will serve as a positive reflection of the Banquets and Catering team and its commitment to Trojan principles.

The hourly rate for this position is $17.28. When extending an offer of employment the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education/training key skills internal peer equity federal state and local laws contractual stipulations grant funding as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Minimum Education: Less than high school

Minimum Experience: 1 year

Minimum Field of Expertise: Knowledge of proper banquet and catering service protocol. Knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures. Demonstrated customer service experience. Experience working in a fast paced working environment. Ability to effectively communicate in English. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Valid CA drivers license required. Position will participate in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice System. A copy of DMV record will be required as a final condition of employment.
