Job Summary
Assistant Health Educator AHE is a parttime paid position at the Utah Poison Control Center UPCC . UPCC employs Health Educators to implement poison prevention programs that contribute to the health and safety of Utahns. Gain valuable experience while learning and developing skills related to public health and health education. The AHE supports the Outreach Education Manager to plan implement and evaluate poison prevention programs and distribute materials.
Responsibilities
Receive education orders via phone fax or mail Prepare for and participate in outreach education events such as tabling at health fairs and giving presentations Assist in developing distributing and organizing educational materials Assist in creating and monitoring social media education Assist in planning implementing and evaluating poison prevention programs and communication materials Assist the Instructor of the Outreach Poison Prevention elective for the University of Utah College of Pharmacy class as necessary Perform other duties related to the work as needed This job description is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. One year fulltime customer service experience or equivalency demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
