The Department of Economic Security Office of Inspector General (OIG) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Information Security Analyst. The Information Security Analyst is responsible for testing implementation and directing potential upgrades and improvements to the Appellate Processing System (APS). This individual will be the liaison between the development team and Appellate Service Administration (ASA) and Office of the Inspector General (OIG) leadership regarding changes to the system.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

All work including remote work should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.

Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Under the supervision of the Appellate Services Administrator and in conjunction with the Department of Technology Services the Systems Information Analyst is responsible for maintaining and testing the Appellate Processing System (APS) system for potential flaws generate and track testing mechanisms to ensure system stability.
Provide support and maintenance of APS including modifying system assets access to the system and modifying templates. Performs fault isolation by validating isolating and correcting faults and verifying service restoration with customers. Monitors logs and manages user accounts.
Facilitate meetings between Division of Technology Services and Office of the Inspector General leadership to provide updates and address concerns regarding technical issues within the Appellate Service Administration. Processes documents and coordinates resolution of trouble calls with help desk.
Create training materials operational manuals and produce adhoc reports as needed.

Knowledge of:
General knowledge of information security technologies the areas of risk assessment compliance and vulnerability management.
Google Workspace Applications including Gmail Docs Sheets Slides Drive Meets and other applications.
Microsoft Applications including Office Suite and Microsoft Windows Servers.
Qualitative and Quantitative methods for gathering data and assessing and improving effectiveness.
Principles of strategic planning financial management policy analysis program evaluation and resource allocation.
Federal state and local statutes and Administrative Code.

Skill in:
Performing statistical research and analysis.
Preparing clear concise and accurate oral and written reports.
Identifying risk and developing methods of mitigation.
Familiar with Agile Methodology and Scrum Ceremonies.
A strong knowledge of HTML JavaScript (ES6 and CSS.
Experience with advanced SQL and relational databases.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills.

Ability to:
Research and analyze data drawing valid conclusions.
Present accurate findings clearly both orally and in writing.
Recommend feasible improvements that affect program efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop project plans that are mutually acceptable to program management and other stakeholders.
Coordinate resources.
Ability to synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly.
Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Integrate and interpret complex information.
Establish effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (EVerify).
Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the abovementioned process and the agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid classappropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C. R210207.11.
Associates degree plus 1 3 years of experience in information security analysis (or equivalent experience).
