We evaluate options and identify opportunities and risks to support our customers decision making. We assist with asset strategy and selection business case preparation concept and feasibility studies technology evaluation energy strategies and asset operational excellence.

Purpose of the Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to drive the growth and expansion of new business opportunities within the mining sector by leveraging cuttingedge digital technology and autonomous solutions. The consultant will play a pivotal role in identifying and capitalizing on emerging trends fostering strategic partnerships and delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency safety and sustainability in mining operations.

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Technical Expertise and Thought Leadership:

  • Detail orientated with significant consulting experience and proven network.
  • Strong selfstarter entrepreneurial mindset and motivated.
  • Practical consulting experience including scoping selling and delivery.
  • Experience in mining sector (surface / underground) is a must.
  • Critical thinking analytical and quantitative problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to communicate complex ideas effectively produce concise reports and presentations appropriate for all levels (from project management to Clevel).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Desire to expand role and be adaptable to clients needs.
  • Assists and later leads the preparation of proposals plans and budgets.
  • Supports a continuous improvement culture and identifies gaps develops work processes tools and methodologies to drive productivity and growth.
  • Manages one or more client relationships.
  • Generates business opportunities.
  • Drives business and Worley pullthrough opportunities through the organization.
  • Takes the lead to identify and develop new services to meet changing customer needs.
  • Uses an understanding of clients changing business environments to develop new services.
  • Presents solutions in terms of incremental economic value and competitive advantage to clients.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on best practices for digital transformation and technology integration in mining.
  • Conduct assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Experience leading projects.
  • Experience in framing hypothesis and adopting recognized Strategy frameworks and techniques in the problems you are trying to solve.
  • Experience of research quantitative analysis structured problem solving and executive communication techniques.

Leadership:

  • Takes ownership for project success: delivery of target quality cost management and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively builds a knowledge base of tools and methodologies to drive productivity and growth.
  • Lead role in work process improvement.
  • Models safety excellence; proactive in identification of and closure to gaps.

Team Collaboration and Supervision:

  • Effectively communicates (verbal and written) expertise to peers and customers and facilitates communications across multiparty activities; helps others develop these skills.
  • Leads postproject audits translating key lessons into improvement actions.
  • Organizes and leads company meetings with customers.
  • Leverages and helps develop the diverse background and skills of people for the attainment of company goals.
  • Plans and executes projects through teamwork with other departments and with outside organizations.
  • Identifies gaps and builds an environment which has readily accessible knowledge and continuous learning.
  • Mentors and assists with career development of junior consultants.

Technical Excellence:

  • Has appropriate level of technical knowledge and industry insight to be able to lead discussions with clients.
  • Presents technical papers and publishes articles.
  • Able to translate customer needs and strategies into project definition with objectives and constraints.
  • Strengths on one or many of the following areas: autonomous mobile fleet robotics data analytics across mining value chain IIoT and machine learning / artificial intelligence.

* Travel as required for various field programs.

Qualifications

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years industry experience.
  • Experience at a top tier or boutique consulting firm Big 4 or through an inhouse consulting / business development role.

Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Commitment:

  • Ensure that HSE requirements are documented and understood by all project participants.
  • Compliance with HSE procedures.

ResultsOriented and Accountability:

  • Achieves results set by self and others meeting timelines and pushing for stretch goals reflecting Worleys commitment to delivering value over the life of assets.
  • Demonstrates accountability for work produced ensuring it is right the first time in line with Worleys promise to be the industrys straighttalking partner.



Additional Information:

For applicants based in the province of British Columbia the salary range is CAD $119383.00 to $$175906.

Application of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidates qualifications relevant years of experience geographic location internal pay equity and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
