About the unit
Our subacute floor is a 59 bed Medicare unit that has residents with multiple clinical issues including CHF dehydration cellulites diabetes DVT and stable cardiac related issues needing monitoring. Nurses work closely with a variety of health care professionals including doctors social work dieticians PT/OT hospice and spiritual support. Our subacute unit offers a wellrounded opportunity for learning professional growth and personal satisfaction.
Our Chronic Care floor is a 60 bed Medicare/Rehabilitation and longterm care unit and is a great place to learn basic medsurg I.V. therapy & wound treatments nursing skills. Nurses on this unit along with host of healthcare professionals work to provide and implement the best treatment plan for residents. This fast paced and busy unit provide a great atmosphere for PT/OT residents to be motivated and reach their goals.
Our Dementia Care floor is a 60 bed Medicare/Medicaid/Dementia unit. We provide care to residents with a variety of diagnoses. The dementia care is where we create a fullness of life through the joy of relationships the art of caring and the spirit of living. This unit also works closely with a multidisciplinary team meets and discusses the residents plan of care.

Ourfacilityhas 3 floors and 9 unit 3 units per floor) we are able to provide care for long term care residents and postacute rehab floor has 59 beds with a focus on subacute rehabthesecond floor has 59 beds which focuses on longterm care and subacute rehab and our third floor is a secured dementia unit. Nursepatient ratios vary depending ontheshift andthepopulation you will be serving. We care for dementia residents long term care and subacute rehab residents. With 179 beds we accept but not limited to patient specialties such as general rehab neuro rehab cardiac respiratory and cancer. We also have various programs for residents to participate in multiple goal is to create a Fullness of Life throughthejoy of relationshipstheart of caring andthespirit of living.
Scope of Work
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment diagnosis outcomes identification planning implementation and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice culturally congruent practice communication collaboration leadership education evidencebased practice and research quality of practice professional practice evaluation resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Preferred Bachelors Degree
- Required Associates Degree Nursing
- 1 year of relevant experience Clinical Nursing Required
- Previous wound care experience or training Preferred
- LICRegistered Nurse (RN) STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRTOstomy Care Nurse Certified (COCN) WOCNCB Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board 1 Year preferred Or
- CRTWound Care Certified (WCC) NAWCO National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy 1 Year preferred
- CRTBasic Life Support (BLS) AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
- CRTBasic Life Support (BLS) ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
